Dropdowns serve as a container to store all available options that the customer can choose from.
The customer can choose only one value from the list of options presented. This is its fundamental purpose, making it suitable for mutually exclusive choices (like country, size, or currency).
Once the customer makes a selection, the selected value replaces the placeholder, remaining visible in the dropdown field until a new choice is made.
