How to Add Wishlist Extensions to Shopify New Customer Accounts

Modified on Wed, 22 Jul at 2:59 AM

If your store uses Shopify's New Customer Accounts, you can integrate the Hulk Advanced Wishlist app directly into your customers' account setup using Shopify's native UI extension blocks.

This allows logged-in shoppers to easily view, manage, and interact with their saved items straight from their personalized customer account page.

Available Extension Blocks

There are two distinct extensions available for New Customer Accounts:

  1. Wishlist Page (Full Page Extension): Adds a dedicated Wishlist tab directly to the main customer account page sidebar navigation (similar to your store's proxy wishlist page).

  2. Wishlist Block (Inline Extension): A customizable UI block displaying wishlisted item details that can be placed anywhere on the customer account page layout.

How to Set Up Wishlist Extensions

You can launch the Shopify Editor to add these blocks using either of the two pathways below:

Navigation Options

  • Option A (From the App Dashboard): Open the app and go to Settings > General settings > New Customer Accounts wishlist page, then click the configuration link.

  • Option B (From Shopify Admin): Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Checkout > Configurations, and click Edit on your active layout.

Step-by-Step Configuration in the Checkout Editor

  1. Inside the Checkout and Customer Accounts Editor, use the top header dropdown to select the Customer accounts page layout.

  2. In the top-right toolbar or left-hand sidebar menu, click App blocks (or Add block).

  3. Search for and select Hulk Advanced Wishlist.

  4. Choose the feature block you want to add:

    • Wishlist Page: Pins a standalone wishlist section directly into the navigation menu on the customer account page.

    • Wishlist Block: Drag and drop this widget block into any section of the customer account page layout to show a preview of their saved products.

  5. Click Save in the top-right corner to publish your customer account page extensions live to your store.
