Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes do not require manual code placement to add the wishlist button to your product pages. Instead, you can enable and position the button directly within your Shopify theme customization editor.

App Embed Activation

Before adding the wishlist block to your pages, you must enable the global app embed:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

2. Find your preferred compatible Online Store 2.0 theme and click Customize.

3. On the Theme Customization page, click on Theme settings in the bottom-left corner.

4. Click on the App embeds tab on the left-top side of the page under the Theme settings block.

5. Locate the Advanced Wishlist app, toggle it to enabled, and click Save.

Wishlist Button Placement on Product Pages

Once the app embed is enabled, follow these steps to place the button on your product pages:

1. Use your store's navigation in the preview window to visit any individual product page. Alternatively, click the top-center dropdown menu in the Theme Editor and select Products > Default product.

2. In the left sidebar layout tree, locate the Product information section.

3. Scroll to the bottom of this section and click Add block.

4. Select the Wishlist Button from the available blocks.

5. Drag and drop the block to your preferred position within the section.

6. To preview, click the three dots menu (...) or Actions menu in the top panel and select View to see the button live on your storefront.

7. Click Save in the top right corner when you are satisfied with the placement.
   
   
   

Adding the Wishlist Icon to Collection Pages

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize next to your active theme.

2. Using the top-center page dropdown menu, select Collections > Default collection.

3. In the left-hand sidebar layout tree, locate the Product grid or Collection grid section.

4. Click Add block or Add nested block within the product card template area.

5. Select Collection Wishlist Icon from the Apps category.

6. Drag the icon block to your preferred position on the product card layout and click Save.

Adding the Wishlist Icon to the Header

1. In the Shopify Theme Editor, stay on any page and locate the global Header section in the left sidebar layout tree.
2. Click Add block under the main Header section.
3. Select the Header Wishlist Icon from the Apps category list.
4. Reposition the block next to your cart or account icon by dragging it up or down in the sidebar tree.
5. Click Save in the top right corner to apply your new navigation shortcut.
