The Advanced Settings section allows you to fully customize tracking behavior, messaging, and customer experience.

To access:

Shopify Admin → Apps → Order Status Tracker → Settings → Advanced Settings

This guide explains each option in detail.

Estimated Delivery Time

Show Estimated Order Delivery Date on Result Page

Enable this option to display an estimated delivery date on the tracking results page.

Why use this?

  • Reduces “Where is my order?” tickets

  • Sets clear customer expectations

  • Improves trust and transparency

Note: If the actual delivery time exceeds your estimated time, the estimated section will not be shown.

Replace Locations

Hide or replace specific countries or regions mentioned in shipping messages.

Example:

Instead of showing:

“Shipment arrived at customs in China”

You can modify or remove location references.

Applies to:

  • Tracking page

  • Notifications

  • Shipment details inside the app

This is helpful if:

  • You use dropshipping

  • You want to avoid showing origin countries

  • You prefer neutral shipping messages

Replace Carriers

Customize how carrier names appear in tracking messages.

Example:

Replace:

“Yanwen Express”

With:

“Local Shipping Partner”

Useful for:

  • Branding consistency

  • White-label shipping experience

Skip Messages

Hide certain types of tracking messages from appearing.

Example:

Disable messages related to:

  • Airports

  • Customs

  • International processing

  • Import/export updates

This keeps your tracking page clean and customer-friendly.

Search and Replace Words

Replace specific words or phrases automatically.

How it works:

  1. Click Add new

  2. Enter the word to search

  3. Enter the replacement word

  4. Save

Example:

Replace:

“Delivered to agent”

With:

“Out for final delivery”

Great for improving clarity and brand tone.

Track Orders from Account Page

Allow customers to directly track orders from their Shopify My Account page without entering:

  • Order ID

  • Email address

Tracking Button Code

You can:

  • Use Automatic Install

  • Click Begin Update

  • Or remove the integration

Customizations Available:

  • Button Title

  • Button Padding

  • Button Color

  • Text Color

This improves logged-in customer experience.

Tracking Button on Order Confirmation Page

Enable a Track Order button on the Shopify Thank You page.

Why enable this?

  • Immediate tracking access

  • Reduces support queries

  • Improves post-purchase experience

Toggle the option to activate.

Fulfillment Event Notifications

Control how delivery notifications are handled.

When enabled:

  • The app will not send separate delivery emails.

  • Shopify will send native shipping notifications instead.

Important:
If enabled, make sure Shopify Delivery Notifications are turned ON in your Shopify settings.

Tracking Quota Reminder

Order Status Tracker calculates tracking quota based on:

  • Number of synced orders

  • Orders older than 7 days (unlimited lookups)

You can:

  • Set a quota warning threshold (example: 10% remaining)

  • Receive warning emails before the limit is reached

This ensures uninterrupted tracking service.

Best Practices for Advanced Settings

✅ Enable estimated delivery date
✅ Replace supplier country mentions (if dropshipping)
✅ Use search & replace for better wording
✅ Add tracking button to Account page
✅ Add tracking button to Thank You page
✅ Set quota reminder to avoid service interruption
