Integrating Your Wishlist with Omnisend

Integrating your wishlist with Omnisend allows Advanced Wishlist to send custom events to Omnisend’s Events API v5, enabling you to build automation flows (emails/SMS) triggered by wishlist activity. This integration can significantly enhance your marketing efforts by allowing you to engage with your customers based on their wishlist behaviors. Below, we’ll guide you through the steps to set up this integration seamlessly.

Part 1: Generate Your Omnisend API Key

To enable Advanced Wishlist to forward wishlist events to your Omnisend account, you first need to create an API key from your Omnisend settings page. Please ensure you have an Omnisend account already connected with your Shopify store before proceeding.

1. Log in to your Omnisend Admin Dashboard

2. Click on Store Settings: In the menu on the left, find and click on the "Store Settings" option, then navigate to the "API" section.

3. Create API Key: Click the "Create API key" button. When prompted, give your API key a descriptive name, such as "HulkApps Advanced Wishlist," to easily identify it later.

4. Set Permissions: Ensure that you grant permissions for Events and Contacts (optional) to allow Advanced Wishlist to function correctly.

Part 2: Connect Advanced Wishlist to Omnisend

Once you have your API key, the next step is to connect Advanced Wishlist to Omnisend.

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin: Access your Shopify account to begin the integration process.

2. Navigate to Hulk Advanced Wishlist: Go to Apps in the left sidebar and select "Hulk Advanced Wishlist."

3. Enable Omnisend Integration: Click on the "Integrations" tab in the navigation panel. Locate the Omnisend Integration card and switch the status toggle to "Enabled."

4. Paste Your API Key: Enter the API key you generated earlier into the designated field.

5. Save Your Configuration: Don’t forget to click "Save" to lock in your settings and ensure the integration is active.

Part 3: Build Omnisend Automation Flows

With the integration complete, you can now create automations in Omnisend triggered by custom events from Advanced Wishlist. All event names sent by the app are prefixed with "Advanced Wishlist." Here are some key events you can utilize:

  • Product Added to Wishlist: Triggered when a product is added to a wishlist.
Omnisend event name: "Advanced Wishlist - Product added."

  • Auto Reminder for Subscribed Wishlists: Sent to remind users about their subscribed wishlists.
Omnisend event name: "Advanced Wishlist - Subscribers."

  • Restock Reminder: Notifies customers when a product they wishlisted is back in stock. Omnisend event name: "Advanced Wishlist - Restock reminder."

  • Price Drop Reminder: Alerts customers when a product’s price drops.
Omnisend event name: "Advanced Wishlist - Price drop reminder."

  • Low Stock Reminder: Informs customers when a product is low on stock.
Omnisend event name: "Advanced Wishlist - Low stock reminder."

Part 4: Test from the App

To ensure everything is functioning correctly, it’s important to test the integration:

1. Access Omnisend Settings: In the Omnisend integrations settings page, click on "Test" (this option is available when the integration is enabled and the API key is present).

2. Choose an Event Type: Select one of the event types you want to test and enter a test email address.

3. Confirm the Event: Verify that the event appears in Omnisend and that your automation flow is triggered as expected.

By following these steps, you can successfully integrate your wishlist with Omnisend, allowing you to engage your customers more effectively and enhance their shopping experience. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team!
