How Hulk Discounts pricing works

Volume Discounts plans are priced by the revenue the app helps you generate each billing cycle, not by your Shopify plan. Any Shopify store can choose any plan, including Unlimited. Each plan includes a monthly cap on app-generated revenue. There are no overage charges and no limit on the number of offers you can create on any plan.

Plans and revenue caps

Pick the plan whose cap fits the revenue your offers generate in a typical month. All plans are available monthly or annually, and every plan works with both the Functions and Legacy versions of the app.

How revenue is counted

App-generated revenue counts only the revenue from line items that had a Volume Discounts offer applied. It does not count the entire order total.

  • Currency: caps are set in USD. If your store sells in another currency, your revenue is converted to USD before it's compared with your cap. Your dashboard shows usage in both your store currency and USD.

  • Refunds and cancellations: if an order that counted toward your cap is refunded or cancelled in the same billing cycle, its value is removed from your usage. If that brings you back under your cap, offer management unlocks automatically.

  • Free trials: revenue earned during a trial counts toward your cap from day one, the same as on a paid plan.

You can see your usage on the app dashboard, which shows revenue used against your plan's cap with an Upgrade button.

What happens as you approach your revenue cap

Your discounts always keep working on your storefront, even after you reach your cap. Only offer management inside the app is paused at 100%, and you're never charged for going over.

100% or more

Discounts stay live on your store, but you can't create, edit, delete, duplicate, pause, import or bulk-edit offers in the app

Both banners show the date your usage resets, for example "Revenue usage resets on 18 Aug 2026". You get each email once per billing cycle.

Upgrading unlocks you immediately. The higher cap applies the moment you switch, and you can manage offers again straight away.

When your usage resets

  • Paid plans: usage resets to $0 every 30 days, counted from the date you first selected your plan. This is not tied to your Shopify billing cycle.

  • Free plan: usage resets every month on the date you installed the app.

Switching plans

  • Upgrade any time. Your current cycle's usage carries over and the higher cap applies immediately. For example, if you've used $290 on Free and upgrade to Basic, you have $710 left this cycle.

  • Downgrade any time. This lets you move up in busy months and down in quieter ones. Your usage carries over and the lower cap applies immediately. If you're already over it, you'll see a warning first, and offer management locks until your next reset.

  • Free is one-time only. The Free plan can be used once per store. After you move to a paid plan, Free is no longer available for that store.

  • Billing is prorated by Shopify. If you switch plans mid-cycle, Shopify charges you for the days you spent on each plan.

New installs

When you install the app, you go straight to the pricing page to choose a plan. No plan is assigned automatically. New installs use the Shopify Functions version by default.

Free trial

Paid plans include a 7-day free trial with that plan's features, including spreadsheet import, so you can test your setup before committing. Revenue earned during the trial counts toward your cap. If you want to test Legacy mode during the trial, contact support to switch.

Functions and Legacy versions

Every plan works with both versions. New installs use Functions; contact support if you need Legacy.

Frequently asked questions

Does my Shopify plan decide which app plan I can use? No. Any store can choose any plan, including Unlimited, whatever its Shopify plan.

Will my discounts stop working if I hit my cap? No. Discounts keep applying to customer orders. Only creating and editing offers in the app is paused until you upgrade or your usage resets.

Will I be charged extra if I go over my cap? No. There are no overage fees.

Is there a limit on how many offers I can run? No plan limits your offers. The Functions version can run up to 25 active offers at a time because of a Shopify limit; switch to Legacy if you need more.

Is the Unlimited plan really unlimited? Yes, there's no revenue cap and no offer limit. The 25-active-offer limit on the Functions version still applies, as on every plan.

Can I still turn discounts on or off after reaching my cap? In the app, no. If you use the Functions version, you can still enable or disable existing discounts from the Shopify Discounts page, but you can't create or edit offers.

Can I use Legacy mode on a new install? Yes. New installs start on Functions; contact support to switch to Legacy. It's available on every plan.

Where can I see how much I've used? On the app dashboard, which shows revenue used against your plan's cap with an Upgrade button.
